Timing belt T10A-01PU enables conveying by both magnet and vacuum
Improved performance in automotive metal stamping application by changing to a timing belt with 70A shore hardness
A destack feeder is used to separate a single metal sheet from a stack of blanks and send it to the downstream press process by magnet and/ or vacuum. The steel sheets are conveyed by magnet and the aluminum sheets are conveyed by vacuum.
The aluminum body was tending to increase because of weight reduction and energy saving.
The timing belt has to adapt to both magnet and vacuum.
Habasit suggested 70A hardness cover to improve the vacuum performance against the previous one with 90 A shore hardness TPU. The new belt was a T10A-01PU with 11 pieces (100x 7,600mm). It improved vacuum performance due to optimal hardness TPU and accurate fabrication. A short down time was noticed due to the avoided miss feed providing a faster service.
