High lateral rigidity of PNB-12EITO prevents tracking problems
During conveying of fine cut tobacco on a bidirectional flat conveyor, a multinational tobacco producer experienced excessive bending of the belt at the point where it changes direction from horizontal to incline. The belt bending caused tracking problems because the belt jumped out of the side pulleys that keep the belt in place when changing direction. Additionally, tobacco, when cut, releases sauces that creates sticky environment and tobacco build up.
The customer required a rigid belt with excellent release properties.
Therefore, Habasit offered the PNB-12EITO with high lateral rigidity, which helps to keep the belt in place when it changes direction from horizontal to incline. The newly installed product prevents the tobacco build up as well as problem with tracking, and proves to have a longer lifetime.
As a result, our customer could benefit from better production efficiency, less breakdowns and less time for cleaning.
